Depp’s association with Dior commenced in 2015 and endured through a tumultuous period following his highly publicized divorce from Heard, during which she accused him of domestic violence. While Dior briefly stopped airing Depp’s Sauvage perfume commercial on TV due to the allegations, reports suggest he remained a Dior ambassador. Following the conclusion of Depp’s defamation case, the commercial resumed airing.
Depp candidly discussed feeling unsupported during this challenging phase, particularly by Hollywood. At the Cannes Film Festival, he responded to questions about whether he felt boycotted by the industry that had propelled him to stardom.
